Rainbow Bookends

a piece or as a set 

Irregular lumps of factory overproduction plastics, translated into unique and striking circular accessories.
We were fascinated by the unique shapes and beautiful bright colours of neglected lumps, found at a plastic processing factory. Where we select the most striking shapes and colours, while at the same time observe as a sculptor what we can make out of it. 

The most pieces will be cut in two (by saw or CNC milling) and make these sides as smooth as possible to reveal the beautifull pattern that is hidden inside and for functionality. Iris & Ruben like to keep the shapes and colours as much as they are, that is why they do not melt or colour them. To put as little energy into the plastic, they believe this is the best thing to do for the environment. It is a great challenge and therefore every piece is unique!! Ready to shine brightly as an unique shelf, candle holder, bookends or a side table.
